Notes: Celso and Kate got the boat to themselves today and with Aries working our other group of divers, Ray on vacation, and Henry still nursing his ear we had Jorge step in for us today. Jorge happens to be the nephew of Captain Domingo, both life-long residents of Cozumel. Anyway, Paradise Gardens was the site of choice to get Celso and Kate back into the water, which rewarded the divers with the typical pillars and valleys Palancar is so famous for.
Dive Two
Site: Paso del Cedral
Max Depth: 60 feet
Dive Time: 47 minutes
Key Animals: Hawksbill turtle, nurse shark, midnight parrotfish
Weather: 80’s
Visibility: 100+ feet
Water Temp: 80 degrees
Notes: With the first dive time being a bit short the group decided to go a little less deep, resulting in extending their bottom dive by 10 minutes. Cedral was Cedral – turtles, sharks, and a whole lot more else. The dive started near the wall but the current pushed into the mountains.
