Iberostar Cozumel All Inclusive Dive Packages

The Iberostar Cozumel all inclusive resort is a very popular location for divers, most particularly divers who get sea sick easily. This lush tropical oasis is the furthest south resort on the island of Cozumel. That fact alone has many benefits. Most notably, as already discussed, your boat rides will be the shortest possible rides in Cozumel. On our boats you are about 5 minutes or less to the famous Palancar Reef. If there is a negative to this, it would be missing out on all the reefs located in the middle and north of Cozumel. You lose about 60% or more of the dive sites by being s far south. Still, a fair trade for any diver that battles sea sickness.

Otherwise, as you might expect from the well-known Iberostar family of resorts, their Cozumel location is a very beautiful property. You are approximately 30 minutes from the airport – 20-25 minutes to downtown San Miguel. Located along one of the Caribbean’s finest beaches, you won’t run out of perfect sand in either direction. Head north and you have a considerable walk to Occidental resort. Head south and you have Palancar Beach Club most likely farther than you’ll care to walk. In between is flawless Instagram-worthy beach. Toss in a sunset over the open ocean and it really is what you’re dreaming about as your search Caribbean diving destinations. If there is a negative to this, it would be the poor snorkeling in the surrounding area. It’s mostly sand and sea grass out front, and reaching reef is a looong swim off shore which is certainly unsafe from constant boat traffic.

A Little Wildlife

Bungalo-style villas are scattered across the Iberostar Cozumel property. Choose from gardens in the rear, pool and beach upfront, or large villas for families and of course oceanfront villas. Meals are spread across four restaurants, and should you need a break from resort food, immediately neighboring to the north is Alberto’s Beach Bar and Restaurant. If you need a break from the ocean a massive pool plus two others (total of three pools) assure you can find your own private spot to cool off. Thre bars promise refreshing beverages are never too distant.

One thing that is probably understated at these southern resorts – Iberostar, Allegro, and Occidental, is the abundance of wildlife you may see walking through the resorts. As these properties are literally carved into an tropical island jungle, seeing native animals like the Coati or endemic raccoons plus, of course, the iguanas and their larger cousins the crocodiles. Usually you’ll find parrots, both captive and wild, and Iberostar Cozumel in particular has pink flamingos.

Sanitation fee of 25.36 peso (about $1.25) per night charged at resort check-in.

Iberostar Cozumel is the Dive Vacation of Dreams

The nice part about Ibersotar Cozumel is it is not only a fantastic location for scuba divers to enjoy, but the whole family will be well taken care of. Live entertainment most evenings, water sports and pool activities, and of course simple relaxation in paradise is sure to please everyone in your family. The children’s Star Camp is ideal to entertain your children, too. As an added bonus there is an on-site beauty salon and spa – perfect for keeping the wife/mom happy! For those that cannot unplug, free WiFi is available. Need to stay in shape while on vacation? I first suggest thinking that thought, but if you insist you can take advantage of the fitness room and tennis courts.
